"Exploring North Seattle Through Art + Columbia City Gallery Silent Auction"

Happy New Year, Friends!

December was a whirlwind of activity with art sales, pop-ups, the Phinney Winter Festival, and a couple of commissions. Nothing warms an artist’s heart quite like seeing their work find new homes! One of the highlights of these events is hearing your stories as you connect with my paintings, especially those of Seattle’s beloved watering holes. It’s such a joy to share in those moments.

I’m thrilled to share that my top sellers this year were Dick’s Drive-In, Hattie’s Hat, and The Sloop Tavern—each a North Seattle icon in its own right. Knowing these pieces resonated with so many of you makes me even more excited to keep capturing our local haunts. Find them all here.

January is often a time for reflection and goal-setting, and for me, it’s about focusing on the immediate months ahead. Living in Ballard, I’ve always been inspired by Seattle’s neighborhoods—especially North Seattle. Our neighborhoods define us, and they’re at the heart of my work. My current goal is to capture more gems in the Greenwood and Phinney neighborhoods. And after that? West Seattle, here I come! Recently, some dear friends took us on a personal walking tour of their favorite spots, and I can’t wait to bring those scenes to life on paper.

In the meantime, I’m excited to share that I’m continuing to exhibit with Columbia City Gallery, where January features their all-artist Secret Silent Auction. The show is already up, with gallery hours Wednesday through Sunday, 11 AM–6 PM. The opening reception is this Saturday, January 11, from 5–7 PM. I’d love to see you there!

Here’s how the auction works: Artists set a minimum bid for their piece, and visitors can submit bids in a box at the gallery. At the end of the exhibit on February 2, the highest bidder wins the artwork. It’s a fun way to support local artists and snag a one-of-a-kind piece!

Wishing you all a creative and fulfilling start to the new year—thank you for being part of my journey.
