Sunset Hill Walking Art Fair 2021
The Sunset Hill Walking Art Fair 2021 is a wrap. A huge thank you to the organizers and especially to everyone that turned out to make it such a success. We thoroughly enjoyed having a backyard and studio buzzing with activity and are already looking forward to next year.
The studio got a fresh coat of paint and was transformed into a lovely gallery space. My watercolors, up until now had occupied a small space, neatly stacked in a metal box beside my drawing table. It was so rewarding to see 25 paintings framed and on the wall and so many more matted and spread out on tables and shelves.
I do not make reproductions of my paintings. Once they are sold, thats it. They are originals and one of a kind. Sharing the stories behind the paintings was the highlight of the afternoon. Thinking back, remembering the sights, sounds and smells of when I took a particular photo and reliving the moment. Thank you for asking “tell me more about this one.”
I decided on an informal, gallery wall style hanging, a casual format for my studio setting. It also allowed me to not freak out about trying to get everything evenly spaced and in a straight line!!!!!
Its time to get back to my 100 day project. I had to take a break to prep for the Art Fair and am anxious to get back to painting. Please follow along on instagram @ameendhillonart. I’m planning a give away on Instagram to celebrate the 100th day. This is how it will work. For every person you refer to follow me on instagram, I’ll put both names in a hat. The new follower needs to leave a comment in the feed with who referred them so I can keep track. You can refer as many new people as you want. Your name will go into the hat for each referral.
Thanks again for all the art love last weekend!!!!
